Hanging a headlamp from your tent's gear loft works in a pinch, but it usually results in harsh shadows and a "staring into the sun" experience. The Spright line of collapsing LED camp lanterns offer a dedicated lighting solution that provides the soft, diffused glow needed to actually enjoy your space after dark.

Both versions have collapsible silicone globes that expand to provide 180 lumens of 360-degree ambient light. They have folding clips to hang from a loop, or place them on a rock or table instead.

The smaller Solar + USB version can be topped off from your bike’s charging port while you ride, or leave it on a rock to recharge its battery.

The larger Powerbank version does not have a solar cell, but can be charged via USB, while also providing a USB-out port to recharge your phone, intercom, or other device in a pinch.

Why We Like It

While this lantern is a "nice-to-have" accessory for your motocamping kit, it's compact enough that it won't take up much space in your panniers. I've started including a mini-lantern in my camping kit for the relaxed vibe when eating dinner at a picnic table or when relaxing in my tent at night.
