July is here, and with it comes peak summer riding weather and a packed calendar of events across Utah. This month you'll find a diverse mix of celebrations across the state, from patriotic displays and unique cultural festivals to major rodeos and outdoor concerts.

Events
Independence Day Celebrations and Fireworks
July 4, Statewide
Many towns and cities across Utah host events and fireworks displays on the fourth. For a unique experience, find roads at higher elevations so you can watch multiple fireworks shows below you.
Deer Valley Music Festival
July 3 - August 9, Park City
Experience world-class music amidst the stunning mountain backdrop of Park City. Running until August at various venues including the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, this festival offers a diverse summer lineup. Experience patriotic celebrations and classic film scores to performances by popular artists like Common, Broadway stars, and beloved classical works. Pioneer Day
July 24, Statewide
July parties don't end on July 5th. Unique to Utah, Pioneer Day celebrates the arrival of the first pioneers to the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. For visitors, it's essentially a second Independence Day, marked by widespread community festivities, parades, and get-togethers. Many towns will host small events open to all. But if you feel like a heathen, celebrate "Pie and Beer Day" by treating yourself at a restaurant near you.
Days of '47 Rodeo
July 22-26, Salt Lake City
Roping, riding, music and more! Commemorating the day in July 1847 when Mormon settlers first entered the Salt Lake Valley, the event is full of history, heritage, and celebration. A very Utah event!
Price International Days Festival
July 24-26, Price
This multi-day event offers a wide range of family-friendly activities including a concerts, a movie in the park, a parade, a car show, and a drone light show. Price is only a few hours from Salt Lake and has other natural sights nearby worth visiting.
World Folkfest
July 30-Aug 2, Springville
This vibrant international festival celebrates diversity through the art of folk dance, bringing together around 250 dancers from 10 different countries. Enjoy captivating performances, traditional costumes, live global music, and activities like international food trucks, and cultural immersion experiences. If you're visiting from another country, you might find some food that will cure homesickness.
National Park Information
Please note that there may be delays entering gated parks, increased crowds, or reduced services due to staffing shortages. We suggest making campsite reservations early using the Recreation.gov website or mobile app. And as usual, leave no trace and be kind to park workers.
Arches: Advanced timed entry reservations are required for entry until July 6. After which, you will be able to enter without advance reservations until August 28. Make a reservation
Bryce Canyon: No advance reservations required
Canyonlands: No advance reservations required. Traveling the White Rim Trail requires a backcountry permit
Capitol Reef: No advance reservations required
Zion: It is currently shuttle season. You cannot ride or drive the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive during shuttle season and must take a free shuttle that does not require advance reservation. There are other great roads near and through Zion N.P. that can be explored on a motorcycle!
