Benchmark Maps & Atlases are the gold standard for high-detail backcountry navigation. These rugged, folded recreation maps are specifically designed for explorers who want to be able to quickly look up overviews of public lands boundaries, topography, and technical route data in a portable, pannier-friendly format.
 
Why We Like It
In the Mountain West, cell phone service in the backcountry isn't a guarantee. While we recommend downloading maps to your phone before you depart on your adventure, a physical map is an excellent backup for navigating and recreating safely.
 
We keep Utah and Idaho atlases in both of our cars to help us find fun new trails, scout remote camp spots, and determine private and public land boundaries. 
 
Regional Availability & Details 
We stock maps for the four primary riding states in our region. Each map features extensive highway detail, point-to-point mileages, recreation attractions, campgrounds, and parks. The back sides show additional close-up detail or provide more information for navigating. For example, the Utah version features a vicinity map of Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Front, plus categorized recreation listings with descriptions, contact info and map grid references.
