The Saker series is Peregrine’s budget-friendly synthetic lineup. It is designed for riders who want the reliability of moisture-resistant insulation and modern features—like pad attachment loops and anti-snag zippers—without the high price tag of down.

Why We Like It
The Saker utilizes Perefill 3D Hollow Fiber, which provides excellent loft for a synthetic fill. This material is ideal for riders because it continues to perform in wet environments where down would clump and lose warmth. The recent redesign includes ultralight 20D ripstop shell fabrics with a PFAS-free water-resistant treatment, ensuring the bag stays dry from tent condensation. Like the premium models, it features a segmented hood system and pad attachment loops to keep you centered on your mat.
 
Options
The 35°F Variant: This is a great pick for summer riding. If your trips are primarily between May and August in the Intermountain West, this bag offers the perfect balance. It is significantly lighter (around 2 lbs) and packs down to nearly half the volume (13.7L) of the 20°F version, saving precious space in your luggage. Will be comfortable overnight, and if it's a warm night you can drape it like a blanket instead of a bag
The 20°F & 0°F Variants: These are your shoulder-season options. While they offer more warmth, keep in mind that synthetic insulation is bulky. At 26–27 liters of volume, these bags will take up a significant portion of a standard 35L pannier or tail bag. Consider putting them in a waterproof stuff sack and lashing it to your passenger seat or rear rack.
 
Notes
Pay attention to the sizing (Short, Regular, Long). If you are 6'0" or taller, get the "Long" (L) version. Otherwise your feet may compress the insulation at the footbox, which creates cold spots.
