Whether you’re looking to add a couple extra degrees to your sleeping bag's cold temperature rating, keep your bag fresh on longer trips, or just want a cozy lightweight sheet for hot summer nights, a MummyLiner is a versatile piece of sleep gear that packs down small!
Designed with a tapered mummy shape, double-stitched seams, drawstring hood, and contoured footbox, it fits neatly inside your bag without bunching up. Using a liner acts as a protective barrier against dust, sweat, and oils, which means fewer trips through the wash for your expensive sleeping bag. On hot summer nights, leave your sleeping bag at home and use this with a sleeping pad for a breezy night's sleep. Stuff sack included!
Available Materials:
- Microfleece: Microfleece is lightweight and compact. Fine microfibers transport humidity quickly to the surface. The material dries extremely fast and is practical in wet conditions.
- Cotton: Fine yarn and a special weaving technique make this high quality cotton a very lightweight and durable fabric. It is breathable, very comfortable against your skin and creates a natural vapor balance. Cotton is machine washable and colorfast.
- Silk: The most luxurious material, silk is soft against your skin and responds well to changing temperatures. It feels cool in the summer and is warm in the winter. These are easy to hand or machine wash and dry quickly.
- Egyptian Cotton: Substantially lighter and more compact than regular cotton liners. A great compromise between regular cotton and silk and ideal for the price conscious buyer!
- CoolMax: 100% Polyester CoolMax is the fastest drying moisture management fabric. Its four-channel fibers move sweat away from your body. CoolMax is highly breathable and easy to care for.
Why We Like It:
Washing a sleeping bag after long campouts is a pain - it typically requires a visit to a laundromat with a specialized washer, and doing it too can possibly ruin the insulation loft. Dropping one of these liners into your pannier takes five seconds and lets you just throw the liner in the wash when you get home. It also gets rid of that sticky, slick nylon feeling against your skin when you're sleeping in shorts or a t-shirt, so it feels a lot more like real sheets. On super hot summer nights, you can just ditch the bag entirely and sleep in the liner on your sleeping pad or in a hammock. These also work great when traveling to hotels or hostels!
