The Peregrine Refuge Light Hammock is engineered for the minimalist camper with access to a pair of trees. Weighing in at just under 2 pounds for the hammock and daisy chain combo, this is a good option for either a night's rest or a midday break.
 
Constructed from high-tenacity 70D nylon taffeta, the Refuge Light is a rugged, triple-stitched sanctuary designed to withstand many nights. Includes carabiners and a built-in stuff sack. We’ve paired it with Peregrine's non-stretch, tree-friendly strap system which shortens setup time and prevents damage to sensitive trees.

Why We Like It
Hammock setup is remarkably fast, and there’s nothing quite like the refreshing feeling of sleeping in the open air, elevated off the ground. However, you'll need to research where you'll be riding - there are regions of Utah where you will not be able to find two trees to strap your hammock and you'll need to bring a tent instead.
 
Straps
While the hammock comes with basic cordage, using thin rope can "girdle" or scar the bark of our ponderosas, aspens, and cottonwoods. So we're including two full-length daisy chain webbing straps in this combo. Tree straps are our recommended setup for Utah as it gives you the maximum reach and adjustability needed for the irregular tree spacing often found at our desert and mountain campsites.
 
Simply wrap the strap around a tree and clip your carabiner into the loop that gives you the perfect tension while protecting the tree's surface. And thanks in advance for helping us take care of our favorite camping spots so they remain open for future use!
