The Gannet 1P (one-person) tent is the smallest of the three Peregrine tents we carry. If your goal is to reduce your pack volume to the absolute minimum while maintaining quality shelter in rain or shine, this is your tent.

Why We Like It
To prevent the claustrophobic feeling common with some 1-person tents, Peregrine designed the Gannet with vertical side walls to maximize usable interior space. Because motorcycle camping isn't beholden to the same extreme weight restrictions as backpacking, this tent is built with more robust materials that offer better durability without sacrificing a compact pack size.
The DAC aluminum poles and SBS zippers are chosen for longevity, and the "Gear Loft Theater" feature is a clever touch—it allows you to slide a phone, LED light, or other accessories into a ceiling pocket for hands-free use while you're tucked into your sleeping bag.
 
Notes
I prefer simple two-pole tents for motocamping. Setup is extremely quick, especially with the pole clips featured here rather than tedious sleeves. For a super minimalist setup, all Gannet tents can be used in "Fast Flight Mode" when paired with their accompanying footprint. By using just the footprint, poles, and rainfly, you build a simple shelter that is significantly lighter and packs down to nearly nothing. This is a clever move for Utah summers since we don't deal with many mosquitoes.
 
I'll be honest, 1-person tents are tight. I typically recommend at least a 2-person tent for motocamping so you can stash your riding suit and helmet inside the tent while you sleep. However, this tent does have one rainfly vestibule which will keep your gear outside the tent protected from rain or morning dew.
