Why We Like It
While three-pole tents take a little bit longer to setup compared to a two-pole tent (like the ALPS Felis 2), they do provide more interior space by allowing the tent walls to stand more upright. This extra shoulder room does make a difference if you have to spend a lot of time inside, such as during a rain storm.
