Why We Like It
The Gannet 2P is designed with vertical side walls to maximize head and shoulder room, ensuring the interior feels spacious rather than cramped. This model features two doors and two separate vestibules, providing easy entry and exit without having to crawl over gear or a partner.
 
The build quality is rugged and moto-ready, utilizing 8.5mm aluminum poles and heavy-duty SBS zippers that stand up to repeated use in dusty or windy conditions. It also includes the "Gear Loft Theater" ceiling pocket, which is a clever way to secure a phone or tablet for hands-free viewing while you're winding down for the night. A footprint is included!

In my opinion, this is the ideal size for solo motocamping. It provides 67% more interior space than the 1P, while only increasing weight by 47%. In a 2P tent, there is enough floor space to bring your riding jacket, pants, and helmet inside the tent overnight where they stay dry and bug-free, while still leaving plenty of room for your sleeping pad.
 
I prefer simple two-pole tents like this because the setup is extremely fast, especially with the pole clip system. If you are riding in the heat of a Utah summer, the "Fast Flight Mode" is a pro move. By using just the footprint, poles, and rainfly, you can cut your pack weight down to under 4 lbs and create a breezy, open-air shelter that is perfect for desert nights.
