Renting a bear-resistant canister is a practical, cost-effective way to stay fully compliant with backcountry food storage regulations without purchasing hardware you might only use once or twice a year. Built from a high-impact polymer blend, the UDAP NO-FED-BEAR canister holds up to four days of food for a single person while locking out wildlife. It measures 8 inches in diameter by 10 inches tall and weighs 2.4 pounds. Renting allows you to travel light, stay legal in National Parks and Forest Service wilderness areas, and avoid dedicating permanent space to a rigid container.

Rental Pricing & How It Works
$20 flat rate per canister: Covers your entire trip with a motorcycle rental, or up to seven days maximum for locals or hikers/backpackers who are not renting one of our motorcycles. No other fees, aside from sales tax.
$60 loss/damage fee: Charged only if the food vault is damaged beyond repair, or it isn't returned (the vault has an MSRP of $80).
